Additional Information

A digital detox

Tan-y-Garth Hall has no mobile phone signal. Wi-Fi is available in the studio space, but not elsewhere in the hall.

The retreat is intended to be a largely phone free environment, giving residents the chance to step away from the distractions of everyday life and properly immerse themselves in their work, the landscape and the community.

Catering

Breakfast will be provided. Lunch and dinner will be self-service.

Attendees will be invited to take turns cooking for the group, although participation in the cooking rota is not mandatory.

Tan-y-Garth Hall is a vegetarian only space, and no meat is permitted on the premises.

Food will be charged separately from the residency fee, with the final cost to be confirmed.

What to bring

Bring practical outdoor clothing suitable for walking in the Welsh countryside, as well as clothing and equipment for working in the studio.

While we provide some animation facilities, residents should bring their own art materials, laptops, Wacom tablets and other animation equipment.

Shared dorms

Accommodation is in shared rooms with single beds. Private rooms with an en-suite bathroom can be arranged at an additional cost. Please enquire for availability and pricing.
